Even the PPQ M2 with a five-inch slide could not deny its sporting ambitions and was used by many shooters as an excellent competition pistol for dynamic disciplines. In addition to the longer sight line, the excellent balance and the previously unmatched trigger characteristics in this class of firearms contributed to this.
The purebred large-caliber sport pistol WALTHER Q5 Match plays in an even higher league:
The WALTHER Q5 Match comes with a sporty slide design: Emphasized wide serrations help with quick yet safe loading. The cutouts at the front save weight and allow the slide to return to its forward position faster due to the reduced mass.
The Q5 Match is delivered with three interchangeable adapter plates for red dot sights from Trijicon, Leupold, and Docter/Meopta. A height and windage adjustable LPA click sight is mounted on the neutral adapter plate, and the matching LPA front sight has a fiber optic insert (Note: these parts do not fit the standard PPQ models due to a different dovetail mount!).
The Q5 Match is immediately recognizable at the trigger: The blue trigger (not available as an accessory!) and the trigger bar with blue AFC coating provide a better trigger characteristic. For competition use, three 15-round magazines are included in the delivery, as well as the internal hex key for changing the adapter plates.

Schon die PPQ M2 mit Fünf-Zoll-Verschluss konnte ihre sportlichen Ambitionen nicht leugnen und wurde von vielen Schützen als exzellente Wettkampfpistole für die dynamischen Disziplinen eingesetzt. Dazu trugen neben der längeren Visierlinie auch die ausgezeichnete Balance sowie die in dieser Waffenklasse bis dato ungekannte Abzugscharakteristik bei.

Die WALTHER Q5 Match kommt mit sportlichem Verschluss-Design: Betont breite Spannrillen helfen beim raschen, aber trotzdem sicheren Durchladen. Die Ausfräsungen vorn sparen Gewicht und lassen den Verschluss wegen der geringeren Masse schneller wieder vorschnellen.
Die Q5 Match wird ausgeliefert mit drei auswechselbaren Adapterplatten für Red-Dot-Visierungen von Trijicon, Leupold und Docter/Meopta. Auf der neutralen Adapterplatte wurde ein höhen- und seitenverstellbares LPA-Klickvisier montiert, das passende LPA-Korn dazu hat einen Fiberoptik-Einsatz (Achtung: diese Teile passen wegen einer anderen Schwalbenschwanz-Aufnahme nicht für die Standard-PPQ-Modelle!).
Am Abzug ist die Q5 Match sofort erkennbar: Das blaue Züngel (nicht als Zubehör erhältlich!) und die Abzugstange mit blauer AFC-Beschichtung sorgen für eine bessere Abzugcharakteristik. Für den Wettkampfeinsatz gehören gleich drei 15-Schuss-Magazine zum Lieferumfang, ebenso liegt der Innensechskantschlüssel zum Wechseln der Adapterplatten bei.
