Not far from the headquarters of the Böker Manufaktur in Solingen lies Schloss Burg an der Wupper, the landmark of the Bergisches Land. It is also one of the largest castles in Western Germany and the largest reconstructed castle complex in North Rhine-Westphalia. The glorious history of Schloss Burg is inextricably linked to the Duchy of Berg and the Counts of Berg (House Berg 1068-1225). We have taken this as an opportunity to dedicate a series of razors to the three Counts of Berg, which symbolize parts of the lives of the three counts and are adorned with impressive decorations made of 24-carat gold, reminding us of the considerable possessions and the power influence of the counts. The extraordinary razor in 6/8 inch symbolizes the death of Adolf III, Count of Berg during the Fifth Crusade in Egypt. The end of the high-gloss polished blade is bordered by a French head, which emphasizes the special elegance of this knife. Hand-selected horn handles with additional decorative rivets, the elaborate grinding of the blade's back, and the partial gilding (24 carat) are just a few highlights to mention.
