In large-volume handgun cases, the maximum gas pressure is often reached with other powders without fully utilizing the case capacity. This can lead to the full performance of the cartridge not being achieved.

To close the significant gap in burn behavior between the N350 and the N110, the N105 was developed.

It is the ideal choice for large-volume cases such as 10mm Auto, .357 Magnum, .44 Magnum, .45 Magnum, and .40 S&W.
