Mittels des Adapters wird das standardmäßige M18x1-Gewinde, mit dem alle Schalldämpfer von Hausken ausgestattet sind, an die jeweilige Gewindeart angepasst.
Es sollte beachtet werden, dass die Hausken Gewinde-Adapter ausschließlich für die Hausken-Schalldämpfer geeignet sind. Zudem kann der Adapter nach dem Eindrehen in den Schalldämpfer nicht mehr herausgenommen werden, um z.B. für den Einsatz einer anderen Waffe einen anderen Adapter aufzuschrauben. Die Montage ist also irreversibel und ein Gewindewechsel nicht mehr möglich.
