Schon der Anblick in der Hand wird zum Vergnügen. Auf den ersten Blick sind es der Gewindelauf mit ½ - 28 Steigung, der vom Gewindeschutzring abgedeckt wird, die hohe, schwarze, gerändelte Antireflex-Visierung, aber vor allem die doppelte schwarz-grüne (olivgrüne) Farbgebung, die diese Pistole ungemein attraktiv macht. Aber Ästhetik ist nichts, wenn sie nicht von der grossartigen Technologie unterstützt wird, die Beretta zum Ausdruck zu bringen weiss: Die Ergonomie, die durch den erhöhten Abzugshinterschnitt diktiert wird, kombiniert mit der Modularität der 3 Picatinny Rail Slots und der Möglichkeit, Red Dot Optiken zu montieren, machen die APX A1 Tactical zu einem Leuchtturm in ihrem Segment. Zur Sicherheit gibt es eine Abzugssicherung, eine Schlagbolzensicherung und eine offene Verschlusssicherung. Die als sportlich eingestufte Waffe kommt im Kaliber 9x19 auf den Markt und hat eine Magazinkapazität von 17 Schuss.
