Amoureux tous deux du travail bien fait, cette édition limitée est réalisée en partenariat avec Jérémy Dewit Graveur et Manu Laplace Coutelier. Après avoir gravé l’original, ils ont mis au point un processus de micro - gravure (1 micron cube), afin de reproduire l’œuvre du graveur.
Le manche est en Amourette (ou lettre mouchetée) qui est un arbre Sud - Américain de la famille des Moraceae. Son bois est très dense (1, 10 - 1, 20) et peut rappeler des motifs de peau de serpent.
Le nom Français de « Lettre mouchetée » puise son origine dans une utilisation ancienne de ce bois : en raison de sa solidité, il était employé pour fabriquer des caractères d’imprimerie, tandis que les petites taches noirs qui ornent ce bois lui valurent l’adjectif de moucheté. Il provient de Guyane et du Suriname le plus souvent. Il est utilisé pour les instruments de musique (archets de violons), pour les manches de couteaux et pour le tournage d’objets précieux comme les stylos.
