Avec la balle ID Classic, l’idée de base est de combiner aussi bien l’effet latéral que la pénétration après l‘impact. Ce résultat a été obtenu grâce à une liaison conique entre les deux noyaux de plomb. Le noyau antérieur, moins dur, se fragmente de façon contrôlée et délivre ainsi très vite son énergie dans le corps du gibier. Le noyau postérieur, contrairement à celui de la balle UNI Classic, se déforme considérablement ce qui en fait une munition très adaptée aux grands gibiers de petite à moyenne taille. La chemise en acier plaquée au nickel préserve le canon et s’épaissit au fur et à mesure vers l’arrière du projectile, assurant ainsi une déformation homogène.
Le culot en forme de torpille assure une excellente stabilité de la trajectoire en vol.
