Ce kit de trois rondelles d’étanchéité de culasse, les fameux gas rings, assure l’étanchéité entre la culasse et le porte-culasse. Ce sont des consommables par excellence : usées, elles laissent fuir les gaz et l’arme cycle mal. On les remplace par jeu de trois, jamais à l’unité.
Rôle dans le mécanisme
Montées dans les gorges de la queue de culasse, ces rondelles forment un piston étanche à l’intérieur du porte-culasse. Quand les gaz arrivent par la clé de gaz, ils poussent sur cette portée étanche et propulsent le porte-culasse vers l’arrière. Des rings en bon état conservent la pression nécessaire au réarmement.
Matiere et compatibilite
Acier ressort traité, monté par jeu de trois comme le veut le standard AR-15. Compatible avec les culasses Mil-Spec AR-15 / M4. Une astuce d’atelier : décalez les coupes des trois rondelles au montage, et remplacez le jeu complet dès que la culasse ne tient plus en appui sortie.
