Die größte Schwäche von Pulsar in den Vorgängermodellen von digex und Digisights ist nun die größte Stärke geworden: Blendung. Egal ob es um Blendung geht die durch Reflexion entsteht oder um fremde Lichtquellen im Sichtfeld, Das Digex C50 meistert diese so gut wie derzeit kein zweiter am Markt. Bei Tests war es sogar möglich durch die Äste eines nah stehenden Baumes das dahinter äsende Wild klar zu erkennen.Die Bedienung der Tag-/Nachtfunktion ist umfangreich und kann durch 3 Parameter gesteuert werden: Farb- oder s/w.-Modus (Umschaltung durch Power Taste), Lichtmenge durch Blendenöffnung (Rad am Objektiv) und die Sum-Light Funktion (im Menü). Durch geeignete Kombination dieser Parameter kann man sich den Gegebenheiten sehr flexibel anpassen.Die Helligkeit des Farbmodes reicht aus um die Schusszeit für normales Schalenwild gut auszunutzen. Es ist in dieser Betriebsart (ohne IR) in der Dämmerung deutlich heller als alle mir bekannten regulären Tages-Zieloptiken. Im Nachtmodus recht bereits ein geringer Mondlichtanteil für einen Schuss auf über 100m (ohne IR) aus. Mit Sum-Light wird das Bild ruckelig, aber eine Schussabgabe ist damit auch bei Neumond möglich.Mit einem IR Aufheller werden dann Details viel besser sichtbar und das Bild wirkt auch deutlich schärfer.
