Nach den mit großem Erfolg eingeführten Modellen Black Diamond und Black Tie schreiben die Ulmer die Erfolgsgeschichte der Q5 Match Steel Frame nun fort und belegen mit der Black Ribbon erneut ihren Anspruch an höchste Sportlichkeit.
Der jüngste Spross kommt in einen Hauch von Schwarz gehüllt daher. Ihm wurde die Zulassung für die IPSC Standard Division in die Wiege gelegt. Nimmt man den eloxierten Low-Profile Magazintrichter ab, darf die 9-Millimeter-Pistole auch in der Production Klasse gewinnen. Die Black Ribbon bietet dem Schützen bereits beim Öffnen des Koffers ein breites Spektrum an Flexibilität: Drei 18-Schuss-Magazine, Lichtsammelkorn plus schattiertem, klickverstellbarem Visier und dazu noch Optics Ready inklusive dreier Montageplatten für die gängigsten Rotpunktvisiere.
Walthers Steel-Frame-Serie nahm die Schießsportszene im Sturm. Wobei dieses Beispiel deutscher Ingenieurskunst selbst unter härtesten Wettkampfbedingungen noch Reserven zeigt. Die schlanke Alu-Griffschale wertet die besonders ansprechende Erscheinung nochmals auf. Mit ihrem Checkering sitzt sie wie ein Handschuh. Ebenfalls aus Alu: Walthers Dynamic Performance Trigger. Seine Eckdaten: Züngelsicherung, Alu-Züngel mit flacher Fingerauflage und hakenförmigem Auslauf, verkürzter Vorzugsweg, kurzer Triggerstop, noch kürzerer Reset, optimierte Klinkenüberschneidung sowie eine unverschämt trockene Abzugscharakteristik. Dieser leistungsgesteigerte Abzug ist in anderen Modellen nachrüstbar. Normalerweise ruft Walther dafür 279 Euro auf. In Anbetracht der Ausstattung erweisen sich die 2.289 Euro für die Black Ribbon als sportlich fair. Extrem viel Walther pro Euro. Das Tüpfelchen auf dem i: Waffenbeschriftung in dunklem Farbton., Walther Q5 SF Black Ribbon. Der Name ist Programm.
