Il nuovo Ruger AR-15 Harrier è un’arma moderna e affidabile, progettata per offrire ergonomia, robustezza e piena compatibilità con calicature Mil-Spec. Il receiver inferiore è dotato di impugnatura in stile A2 e calcio collassabile tipo M4, montato su tubo Mil-Spec. L’astina free float dal profilo sottile migliora l’ergonomia e la maneggevolezza, ed è equipaggiata con slitta Picatinny in posizione 12:00 sia nella parte anteriore che posteriore, oltre a attacchi QD per cinghia su entrambi i lati. Il sistema Magpul M-LOK permette il fissaggio di accessori nelle posizioni 3, 6 e 9, con ulteriori 8 slot intermedi nella parte anteriore dell’astina (lato volata). La canna filettata presenta una filettatura 1/2″-28 in volata ed è fornita con rompifiamma A2. Receiver superiore e inferiore sono realizzati da forgiati in 7075, lavorati secondo standard Mil-Spec e anodizzati con trattamento duro Type III. Il receiver inferiore include inoltre una vite di tensione per eliminare eventuali giochi tra upper e lower. Il receiver superiore integra forward assist, copertura antipolvere e deflettore dei bossoli. Il gruppo otturatore e porta-otturatore è nitrurato e presenta gas key punzonata (staked), per garantire affidabilità e durata. Il Ruger AR-15 Harrier viene fornito con componenti Mil-Spec e un caricatore Magpul PMAG da 30 colpi.
