ThermTec Cyclops 635L 3.0 – Thermal Imaging Monocular with Integrated Laser Rangefinder

The ThermTec Cyclops 635L 3.0 is a powerful thermal imaging monocular for wildlife, nature, and outdoor observation. A high-resolution 640 × 512 pixel thermal sensor with 12 µm pixel pitch meets an exceptionally bright 35-mm F0.8 lens, a thermal sensitivity of ≤ 15 mK, and a high-resolution 0.5-inch AMOLED display.

A special feature of the Cyclops 635L 3.0 is the laser rangefinder with up to 1,000 meters range integrated directly into the compact housing. The extensive equipment is complemented by ThermTec AI calibration, thermal super resolution, optimized digital zoom, 64 GB internal memory, photo and video recording, as well as hotspot and app functions.

With a weight of only 435 ± 5 g, replaceable 18650 batteries, and ergonomic one-handed operation, the Cyclops 635L 3.0 is designed for longer mobile observation missions.

640 × 512 Sensor with ≤ 15 mK NETD

The core of the ThermTec Cyclops 635L 3.0 is a 640 × 512 pixel microbolometer with 12 µm pixel pitch. The high sensor resolution enables detailed imaging of heat sources and supports reliable detection of fine contours and structures.

With a thermal sensitivity of ≤ 15 mK NETD, the sensor can differentiate very small temperature differences. This is especially noticeable when the object and environment have only slight thermal differences – for example, in high humidity, fog, rain, or balanced ambient temperatures.

The 50 Hz frame rate also ensures smooth rendering during movement and panning.

Bright 35mm F0.8 Lens

The 35mm lens with F0.8 aperture is designed for high light and heat transmission, complementing the sensitive 640 sensor. The interplay of sensor, NETD, and bright optics is crucial for a high-contrast thermal image under demanding conditions.

The field of view is 12.5° × 10°. At a distance of 100 meters, this corresponds to an area of about 21.9 × 17.6 meters. This gives the Cyclops 635L 3.0 a balanced combination of overview and detail recognition.

Up to 1,800 Meter Detection Range

The specified detection range is up to 1,800 meters. This makes the thermal monocular suitable for observation in the immediate surroundings as well as for wide-area scanning of distant areas.

The basic optical magnification is 2.6×. Combined with the digital zoom, a magnification range of 2.6× to 10.4× is available.

Integrated Laser Rangefinder up to 1,000 Metres

With the integrated laser rangefinder (LRF), distances can be measured directly through the thermal monocular. The maximum measuring range is 1,000 metres with a stated accuracy of ± 1 metre.

The rangefinder operates at a wavelength of 905 nm and complies with laser safety class 1. By integrating it directly into the device, distance measurement is available without a separate accessory.

0.5-inch AMOLED display with 1600 × 1200 pixels

The image is displayed on a 0.5 inch AMOLED display with 1600 × 1200 pixels. The high resolution supports a clear and high-contrast presentation of the information captured by the thermal sensor.
