Spuhr QDP · 34 mm · QD · 6 MIL
QDP-4602: Quick detach only makes sense if the whole system fits 34 mm rings, 38 mm axis height, 6 MIL / 20.6 MOA and two locked QD levers: The QDP-4602 combines a high sight line and additional cant with quick removal.
The purchase decision, however, is not made at the lever: rail angle, zero stop, barrel contour and required eye relief must fit first.
Suitability and avoiding bad purchases
Fits well if … … a 34 mm scope is mounted on a continuous Picatinny/STANAG rail, 38 mm height is desired, and you want to repeatedly remove the optic.
… an additional 6 MIL fits mathematically into the adjustment range and planned zero point.
Fits rather not if … … you need forward offset, use a two-piece rail, or the mount stays permanently on the same firearm and QD brings no practical benefit.
… the weapon rail already has a lot of cant or your optic has only a small counter-adjustment reserve.
Limits / disadvantages: QD means quick removal, not automatically guaranteed zero retention. Same rail segment, same contact direction, correct lever tension and subsequent zero check remain important. The 6 MIL do not increase the total adjustment range and add to the rail cant.
Features with practical effect
Two
QD lever The mount can be removed from the rail without tools. When reattaching, use the same groove and press the mount forward against the groove flank before closing.
Straight block geometry No cantilever. The eye relief must be achievable within the existing rail position. On short receivers, an offset/cantilever solution may be the better choice.
38 mm / 6 MIL High line plus long-range inclination. Useful for planned systems with large scopes or front equipment – not a general "more range" upgrade.
34 mm rings Both ring areas require straight clamping zones. The existing product data exclude certain extended turret/erector housings; tube diameter alone is therefore not sufficient for approval.

FAQ
Is zero retention guaranteed after removal? No. QD creates reproducible mechanical conditions but does not replace zero check after reattachment. Is the QDP-4602 a cantilever? No. It has no offset. Can it be used on two-piece rails? No. Both clamping points require the same continuous, rigid rail section. When is a neutral QD mount more sensible? When the existing rail already provides sufficient inclination or the close zero point needs more counter-adjustment reserve.
Black Raptor · honest system choice
The QDP-4602 is worth it if you really use QD and 34 mm, 38 mm height, and 6 MIL fit the system. If you only need a permanently mounted scope or don’t know the rail inclination, you otherwise pay for functions and angles that bring no real advantage.

Spuhr QDP · 34 mm · QD · 6 MIL
Gerade Blockgeometrie Kein Cantilever.

Black Raptor · ehrliche Systemwahl
