Spuhr SP-4001 Low 34 mm Block Mount with 30 mm Axis Height and Neutral 0 MOA – for Bolt Actions and Permanently Set Precision Systems.
Fits well 34 mm scope, one-piece Picatinny/STANAG rail, low stock line, no QD and no additional cantilever needed.
Fits rather not Straight high chassis/AR stock line, large objective over continuous rail, need for cantilever, QD or additional cantilever.
Why 30 mm is decisive here
Low sight line With 34 mm main tube, the calculated distance between rail top and barrel bottom is only 13 mm. This supports a firm cheek weld – if the stock fits.
Objective clearance Over a continuous rail, 60 mm outer diameter is the theoretical zero clearance limit. Cap and safety margin must be additionally planned.
0 MOA The mount remains neutral. An already inclined base keeps its angle; the SP-4001 adds nothing.
Solid block body The ring positions are not freely adjustable. Turret block and housing transitions must fit into the fixed geometry.
Compatibility & Avoiding Wrong Purchases
A correct 34 mm main tube is only the first check. Both ring zones must be fully cylindrical, the turret block must not intrude into the clamping surfaces, and the 121 mm body must sit fully on a common rigid rail. Spuhr excludes certain extended erector housings like Nightforce BEAST and US-Optics-TPAL/EREK with this geometry.
Limits & Disadvantages
Low is not automatically better. If the head must be pressed down or a raised cheekpiece is missing, the 30 mm line worsens repeatability. Large objective housings can have too little clearance despite fitting 34 mm ring size. For regular removal, the fixed screw clamp is also not the most comfortable solution.

Cantilever
0 MIL / 0 MOA – neutral.
Length
121 mm – eye relief must be achievable without cantilever.
Weight
Manufacturer documents list 228 or 239 g depending on revision; deliberately not artificially unified.
Interfaces
Several Spuhr interfaces plus integrated bubble level.
Rail clamping
5 Nm according to current ISMS instructions.
Ring screws
2.0
Nm or lower specification from the optic manufacturer.
Scope of delivery
Spuhr SP-4001, 10° leveling wedge with screw length gauge and manufacturer instructions. Not included: scope, firearm, Picatinny base, torque tool, or other interface accessories.
Safe use
Fully place the body on the rail, press forward against the groove flank, and tighten the clamping screws in the documented order. Check objective and bolt clearance before shooting. Do not combine pre-waxed ring screws with additional lubrication or thread locker without adjusting the manufacturer’s specifications.
FAQ
Does every 34 mm scope fit? No. Tube diameter, fixed ring zones, turret block, and objective clearance must all match. How large can the objective be over a continuous rail? 60 mm outer diameter is theoretically zero clearance. Practically, reserve is needed and the cap must be included. What do 0 MOA do? The mount adds no additional inclination; the base determines the existing system angle. Is the SP-4001C identical? No. The C version belongs to a newer revision and must not be equated with all data of the SP-4001 offered here.
Black-Raptor classification: very fitting for a low 34 mm bolt-action setup if stock line and objective clearance really match. Don’t choose the lowest variant as a rule – ergonomic eye height decides.

0 MOA Die Montage bleibt neutral.

Was bewirken 0 MOA?
