Black Raptor Buying Guide
Reptilia AUS 30 mm / 39 mm – a stable foundation when the geometry is right
One-piece M1913 Picatinny mount for scopes with a 30 mm main tube. What matters isn’t the brand or the optic, but tube diameter, height, available rail length, and your head position.

Good fit / probably not a fit

Good fit For 30 mm scopes on a properly dimensioned M1913 Picatinny base, when the 39 mm mount height works with your stock line and objective clearance. A good choice for precision and range setups that stay assembled.

Probably not a fit For 34/35 mm main tubes, unverified Weaver or proprietary rails, or setups that require a different height, cant, or significant forward offset.

What you get in practice

One-piece alignment Ring spacing and basic alignment are built into a single 7075-T6 body. This removes one variable compared with two independently positioned rings.

Defined 39 mm height Extra clearance can be helpful with larger objectives. But height isn’t a quality indicator: it needs to work with your cheek weld, shooting position, and sight line.

M1913, not guesswork The mount is designed for Picatinny/M1913. Rails that look similar aren’t automatically compatible.

7075-T6 & Type III The design is made for a robust, permanently mounted optic connection. That still doesn’t replace proper clamping and correct torque.

Limitations, drawbacks & how to avoid a bad purchase

The most common mistake: 30 mm fits, but the overall geometry doesn’t. Before buying, check the objective’s outside diameter, rail length, eye relief, and cheek weld. A high-quality mount with the wrong height is still the wrong mount.
The AUS mount won’t solve problems with a rail that’s too short, the wrong tube size, or an unsuitable optic position. Before fully tightening, position the scope at high magnification in a natural shooting position. Tighten the ring caps and rail clamp only according to the instructions from the manufacturers involved; torque values n
icht transfer or estimate.
Technical specifications with practical interpretation

Tube diameter 30 mm – must match the scope’s main tube exactly.

Mounting height 39 mm – relevant for objective clearance and a natural head position.

Mounting base M1913 Picatinny – confirm compatibility before purchase.

Material 7075-T6 aluminum – rigid, one-piece construction.

Type III hard anodized finish – durable protective surface.

Weight 158 g – relevant to balance, but typically less critical to the purchase than height and fit.

Colors Black or Flat Dark Earth Anodized – functionally identical; choose based on finish.

Included
Reptilia AUS scope mount in the selected color. Scope, firearm, additional rail, tools, and other accessories are not included.
FAQ
Does the mount fit every Picatinny rail? It’s designed for M1913 Picatinny. You should still check dimensional accuracy, available slot positions, and clearance on your specific setup. Is 39 mm automatically better than a lower mount? No. The right height depends on objective clearance, stock geometry, and a natural head position. Do I need to zero the firearm again after mounting? Yes. Any new installation or remounting can potentially change the line of sight. Check the zero with the intended ammunition. Can I just tighten the screws by feel? No. Tighten the ring and base clamps only according to the specific manufacturer’s instructions.
Black-Raptor take: A very solid choice if 30 mm, M1913, and a 39 mm height are already set. Don’t buy it to somehow make an unresolved optic setup fit after the fact. (Show description in original language)

Black Raptor Kaufberatung

Was du praktisch davon hast

Material 7075-T6 Aluminium – steife, einteilige Konstruktion.
