STEYR A1 / A2 · MRA
OuterImpact MRA for Steyr A1 and A2 – precise model list instead of a general "fits Steyr"
The plate uses the rear sight mount and is designed for specific Steyr A1/A2 pistols. If you carefully match the model and optic footprint, you get a reversible red dot base without slide milling.
Black-Raptor quick check: Confirmed for S-A1, C-A1, M-A1, L-A1, M9-A1 as well as L9-A2, M9-A2, and C9-A2. 7075-T6, approx. 3.3 × 51.3 × 26.9 mm, 1 oz. No universal adapter for every Steyr pistol.
Compatible Steyr models
OuterImpact lists the models S-A1, C-A1, M-A1, L-A1, M9-A1, L9-A2, M9-A2, and C9-A2. This makes the selection pleasantly clear: not just the brand, but the exact A1/A2 version decides.
Mounting principle
Model-specific dovetail/rear sight adapter instead of an additional Picatinny intermediate layer.
Material
7075-T6 aluminum with black anodizing.
Dimensions
Approx. 3.3 mm high, 51.3 mm long, and 26.9 mm wide.
Weight
1 oz / about 28 g according to the manufacturer.
Which optics belong to the MRA family?
The MRA covers many classic mini red dot formats – including RMR/SRO, Docter, DeltaPoint/Pro, several Vortex models, FastFire, and C-MORE. K-footprints like Holosun 407K/507K belong to the Micro family. This keeps the buying decision clear: first the firearm model, then the optic footprint.
Buy if … your Steyr is exactly on the confirmed A1/A2 list and your red dot belongs to the MRA compatibility group.
Don’t buy if … you own a different Steyr model or the optic uses a K/Micro footprint for which OuterImpact provides a Micro adapter.
Practical tip: The dovetail mount requires precise alignment. Watch the manufacturer’s installation video and torque specifications before installation; do not tighten screws with arbitrary values from another mount system.
External user experiences
Verified buyers on the manufacturer’s site report, among other things, a successful M9-A2-MF combination. Another user highlights the clear instructions and specified torques; another explicitly recommends watching the installation video before mounting. These are individual experiences but support the importance of proper mounting preparation.
FAQ
Does the plate fit Steyr M9-A2? Yes. M9-A2 is explicitly listed as compatible by OuterImpact
l geführt. Does it fit on L9-A2 and C9-A2? Yes, L9-A2 and C9-A2 are also listed by the manufacturer. Does it fit on every Steyr model? No. The specific A1/A2 model list from the manufacturer is decisive. What material is the plate made of? Made of 7075-T6 aluminum with black anodizing. How do I avoid installation errors? Check model, footprint, screws, and torque in advance and use the current OuterImpact manual or installation video. Before installation, compare the current manufacturer documents and optic screw requirements.

STEYR A1 / A2 · MULTI-RED-DOT-ADAPTER
