HIKMICRO Lynx LH15 2.0
Wide field of view and 384×288 for short to medium range distances.
With 15 mm F1.0 and 1.4× base magnification, the LH15 2.0 is not a distance specialist. Its strength lies in quickly capturing larger areas, especially on forest paths, at baiting sites, and along dense edges. Why the 15 mm optic can make sense
30.8 m field of view at 100 m
More overview reduces search movements and makes the device pleasant for systematic scanning.
384×288 / <20 mK
Solid detail base for this compact class; with very low thermal contrast, a 640/<15 mK device remains superior.
Focus Free
No constant refocusing at typical short distances – quick out of the pocket and into the image.
272 g without battery
Clearly handier than large 35/50 mm systems and therefore interesting if the device is carried for a long time.

750 m is not an identification guarantee: The detection specification shows how far a suitable heat object can be detected under manufacturer conditions. For species and detail assessment, the real image information at a significantly shorter distance counts.
2.0 or 3.0?
The LH15 2.0 has a 384×288 sensor and an exceptionally wide 30.8 m field of view. The newer Lynx LH15 3.0 works with 320×240, <18 mK, AMOLED, 64 GB and HSIS-Shutterless, but starts with 2.2× and a significantly narrower 20.5 m field of view. The 2.0 remains interesting if maximum overview is more important than the newer platform.
Purchase decision
Buy if …
you are looking for a lightweight handheld device for forest, short field edges, and quick area scanning with a wide field of view.
Not ideal if …
you mostly assess animals at long distances, need high base magnification or maximum detail reserve.
Practical tip: For handheld devices for short distances, a wide native field of view is often worth more than additional digital zoom steps. The 30.8 m at 100 m are here the
actual reason to buy.
FAQ
Does the LH15 2.0 need to be focused? No, HIKMICRO uses the 15-mm lens as focus free.
How wide is the field of view? 30.8 × 23.0 m at 100 m.
How long does the battery last? HIKMICRO states 6.5 hours under the specified test conditions with CVBS and hotspot disabled.
Suitable for large open areas? For detection, yes, but the low base magnification and 15-mm lens prioritise overview. For regular detailed assessment at distance, 35- or 50-mm devices are more logical. (Show description in original language)
