Vector Optics Continental x8 2–16×44 ED Tactical (SCOM-T39) 2–16× Tactical-MPVO with SFP reticle, ED glass, 30-mm tube and 0.1 MIL adjustment. The model is interesting if a wide magnification range and tactical turrets are needed without going for a very large 50/56-mm objective.
Fits well / fits rather not
Fits well
Range and precision setups with varying medium distances
Users who want to combine 2× overview with up to 16× detail
Setups with 30-mm rings and metric 0.1 MIL adjustment
Fits rather not
Users who need an FFP reticle
Ultra-light setups where 672 g is too heavy
Pure close-range applications where a true 1× is more important
Features with practical impact
2–16× / SFP The reticle remains optically the same size; subtension values must therefore be used at the intended reference magnification.
ED + Schott HT Designed by the manufacturer for high image clarity and light transmission; relevant for detail recognition, not a substitute for appropriate magnification.
Zero Stop + Turret Lock Helps reliably return to zero after corrections and reduces unintentional adjustments.
0.1 MIL One click corresponds to approx. 1 cm at 100 m; adjustment logic fits metric hold and correction values.
Limits & avoiding bad purchases
Shopify currently lists `absehen:moa`, but the official manufacturer site states VTC-10A, 1/10 MIL and 32 MIL adjustment range. The text therefore follows the manufacturer specification. SFP is deliberately not FFP: Those who want to use hold marks scaled correctly at every magnification need a different design.

FAQ
Is the SCOM-T39 FFP? No. The official manufacturer site lists the model as Second Focal Plane (SFP). Which rings do I need? 30-mm rings. A pair of Picatinny rings is included according to the manufacturer; height and platform must still be checked. Is 2× a substitute for true 1×? No. 2× remains magnified and is less intuitive than a true 1× system for very close, dynamic applications.
BLACK RAPTOR Classification: Useful MPVO for users who want 2–16×, SFP and MIL turrets inten
want to combine sst. Anyone expecting FFP or true 1× should not buy based on the wide zoom factor. (Show description in original language)
