The NEXTORCH PIONEER MT20BE is the blue edition of the rescue-oriented MT20 multitool. SKU MT20BE and the current manufacturer page confirm Blue Edition; the previous Shopify title mistakenly named MT20BK Black Edition.
Black-Raptor short verdict: Functionally the MT20 concept in blue. The color makes visual identification easier but does not change tool limits or the need for training and maintenance.
Purchase decision
This model suits you if you …
want the MT20 rescue functions in a clearly recognizable blue edition,
regularly need rescue scissors, strap hook, and flexcuff cutter,
268 g and 109 × 39 × 28 mm fit in your holster,
check SKU MT20BE upon delivery.
Choose another model if you …
expect the black MT20BK edition,
are looking for an ultralight pocket tool,
need insulated pliers or medically certified scissors,
equate color with a standardized role marking.
Blue Edition clearly separated from MT20BK
BE stands for Blue Edition, BK for Black Edition, and RE for the red Rescue version at the manufacturer. This distinction is crucial for purchase and is corrected in the title.
The functional platform corresponds to the MT20: rescue scissors, flexcuff and strap cutters, pliers with interchangeable blades, blade, saw, O2 key, opener, ruler, bit, and glass breaker.
Manufacturer texts count 14 or 15 functions depending on the section. This is a counting convention; what matters before purchase is whether the required specific function is present.
Practical check
Check SKU: confirm MT20BE and blue version upon receipt.
Practice scissors: cut suitable training material to check.
Keep skin distance: use strap hook and flexcuff cutter only with visual control.
Check locking: fully secure blade and saw.
Maintain finish: clean after moisture, dry, and lubricate joints sparingly.
