White and Green without Filter Change
When the path in the hunting ground needs to be clear, but bright white is not always the first choice
A silent turn of the head optionally brings the white or green LED into the reflector center. This is how the NEXTORCH T5G V2.0 delivers real white and green light from a robust handheld flashlight – without an attached color filter and with up to 265 or 230 meters manufacturer range.
Check set and limits

Our honest assessment

The T5G is technically a strong dual-LED handheld flashlight, but the set is legally not an uncritical hunting accessory. The flashlight impresses with high white output, far-reaching green light, interchangeable power supply, and IPX7. Mount and cable switch also make the combination legally sensitive under German weapons law.
For use as a handheld flashlight, it is interesting. Mounting on firearms is not a casual accessory question for private users: Annex 2 Section 1 No. 1.2.4.1 WaffG covers certain aiming illumination for firearms. Before purchase, possession, and use of the complete set, the permissible purpose must therefore be clearly clarified.

Fits well if …

you are looking for a robust handheld flashlight with real white and green light,
265 m white and 230 m green range as a guideline for your use,
you want to charge a 18650 battery and use two CR123A as a reserve,
IPX7 and a shockproof aluminum housing are important to you.

Rather not suitable if …

you need red light – which is only offered by the T53,
you are looking for a particularly compact or lightweight EDC light,
you expect an uncomplicated private firearm mounting,
you require a mount without readjusting and tightening.

What the dual-LED design practically offers
The color selection is mechanical and silent on the lamp head. Unlike with a filter, the chosen LED is always centered in the reflector. This creates a focused beam and explains why the nominally weaker green light reaches 230 meters according to the manufacturer.
White light delivers the significantly higher total output with 1,200 ANSI lumens. Green light can subjectively alter contrasts and affect dark adaptation differently. However, it is not an invisibility mode: animal reaction, weather, vegetation, and distance remain real limits.

Derived from user experience

A precisely attributable buyer review at Frankonia praises the brightness and operation of the cable switch. The specific drawback: despite the quick release, the mount must first be opened wide to attach and then tightened again. Therefore, do not plan the set as a tool-free quick system.
According to the same experience, the remote control can be secured against unintentional release. This statement is a documented buyer experience – not a practical test claimed by Black Raptor.

T5G or T53?

T5G V2.0
The performance-oriented choice for white and green: 1,200 lm / 265 m in white, 170 lm / 230 m in green, IPX7 and 165 g without battery.

T53 Set
The more flexible color choice with additional red light but less peak performance: 760 lm white, 129 lm green, and 109 lm red; IPX4 and 185 g without battery.

Technical data with practical interpretation

Light 1,200 ANSI lm white and 170 ANSI lm green; additional 50-lm level plus momentary light, SOS, and strobe according to manufacturer.

Range Up to 265 m white and 230 m green. FL1 range describes the measurement limit of the beam, not automatically a safe detection distance.

Power 1× 18650 Li-Ion or 2× CR123A. A 2,600 mAh battery and USB charging cable are included in the set.

Housing 6061-T6 aluminum, hard anodized Type III; IPX7 and shock resistance up to 1 m according to manufacturer testing.

Dimensions 145 mm long, 25.4 mm body and 40 mm head diameter. Grippy but not a slim flashlight for every pocket.

Weight 165 g without battery according to manufacturer. Actual operational weight is higher with battery and accessories.

Runtime honestly read: NEXTORCH lists 3:15 h, 24 h, and 4:30 h in a technical sequence on the current product page but does not clearly assign these values to each color and level. Therefore, we do not promise a precise mode runtime that is not clearly evident from the source.

Safety, care, and typical errors

Right before mounting No mounting on firearms or imitation firearms without verifiable relevant exception. In case of doubt, consult the responsible authority or qualified legal advice.

Power disconnect properly Do not charge CR123A primary cells, do not mix with a 18650 battery, and only use as the same fresh pair.

Maintain tightness Keep threads, sealing surfaces, and O-rings clean. IPX7 applies only with undamaged seals
ungen und korrekt geschlossenen Teilen.

Train range Compare white and green on known surfaces before use. Do not assume safe identification from nominal range and never shine directly into eyes.

FAQ
How do you switch between white and green? By silently turning the lamp head, the desired LED is mechanically brought to the center of the reflector. A color filter is not necessary.
Does the T5G have red light? No. The T5G offers white and green. For additional red, the NEXTORCH T53 is the more suitable alternative.
Can I use CR123A instead of the battery? Yes, NEXTORCH lists two CR123A as an alternative to one 18650 battery. Do not recharge CR123A and do not mix different cells.
Is the specified range the safe identification distance? No. The manufacturer range is a standardized measurement. Weather, stray light, target contrast, and your own eyes determine what is safely recognizable in practice.
Is the mount allowed for private use on a firearm? Target illumination intended for firearms falls under Annex 2 Section 1 No. 1.2.4.1 WaffG in Germany. Therefore, the complete set must not be treated like ordinary, freely mountable accessories; permissible purpose and personal legal framework must be clarified in advance.

Black Raptor · klare Kaufentscheidung
