Die junge Marke Manly hat mit dem komplett in Bulgarien hergestellten Modell Comrade ein überzeugendes Konzept umgesetzt, das als durchweg gelungener Einstand auf dem Messermarkt betrachtet werden kann. Als Klingenstahl kommt der auf 59-61 HRC gehärtete D2 (=1.2379) zum Einsatz, der für Robustheit und Schnitthaltigkeit bürgt. Die Klinge mit Nagelhau ist flachgeschliffen und besitzt ein ansprechendes Satin-Finish. Solide Stahlplatinen tragen 3D-gefräste Griffschalen aus orangenem G10, deren Radialstruktur nicht nur optisch einen eigenen Reiz hat, sondern auch einen sehr sicheren und rutschfesten Grip bietet.
