Specna Arms VAPOR™ GBBR platform With the VAPOR™ series, Specna Arms transfers its experience with modern airsoft platforms to the field of gas blow-back long guns. Weighing around 3.6 kg, the SA-J22 feels substantial in the hand. The adjustable stock allows for individual adaptation to body size, shooting position, and worn gear. Thus, the VAPOR™ combines a robust AK design with the ergonomic features of a modern Airsoft platform. Gas Blow Back with strong recoil and 35-round magazine The heart of the SA-J22 VAPOR™ is its Gas Blow Back system (GBBR). With every shot, the bolt is moved by the gas pressure, producing a clearly noticeable mechanical recoil movement. The interplay of bolt movement, mechanical noise, and immediate weapon response delivers a much more intense shooting experience than a classic electric Airsoft. Energy supply is via Green Gas, which is filled directly into the gas magazine. The included magazine holds 35 BBs and simultaneously supplies gas to the system. The magazines developed for the VAPOR™ J-Series feature a two-stage valve system that supports stable gas release and efficient use of the filled gas. NPAS, adjustable Hop-Up, and approx. 1.5 Joules A special technical feature of the SA-J22 is the integrated NPAS system. The design allows adjustment of the gas amount within the technically intended range, offering additional tuning options for the Gas Blow Back system. The muzzle energy is about 1.5 Joules according to our own practical measurements. In several chronograph tests, our sample ranged roughly between 1.45 and 1.60 Joules. As is typical for Gas Blow Back systems, actual performance can vary depending on outside temperature, gas used, BB weight, Hop-Up setting, and other environmental conditions. The approx. 1.5 Joules figure should therefore be understood as a practical guideline. For a precise trajectory, the SA-J22 features an adjustable Hop-Up system. Together with the approximately 400 mm long inner barrel, the design provides a very good basis for a stable BB flight path, convincing range, and consistent accuracy. For this model, high-quality 0.28 g to 0.32 g BBs are especially recommended, for example from G&G, BLS, or Delta Armory Diamond. Modern equipment with Picatinny and 14 mm CCW The modern AK-12 design offers numerous options for individual configuration. The existing RIS/Picatinny rails allow mounting compatible red dot sights, scopes, foregrips, and other Airsoft accessories. This lets you customize the SA-J22 VAPOR™ both visually and functionally to your personal play style and mission. At the muzzle, there is a widely used 14 mm CCW thread. This allows the use of many compatible tracer units, suppressor replicas, and other Airsoft muzzle attachments. Together with the adjustable stock, this creates a versatile platform suitable for both modern AK setups and realistically built MilSim gear. The original – the modern AK-12 The SA-J22 VAPOR™ is visually and ergonomically based on the modern AK-12. The platform continues the fundamental concept of the traditional Kalashnikov family in a contemporary form, combining the characteristic AK design with modern ergonomics, an adjustable stock, and extended mounting options for optics and accessories. Specna Arms picks up these characteristic features in the SA AK-12 GBBR and combines them with the mechanical operation of a Gas Blow Back system.
