The Wanger WOC II Plus is a robust all-purpose knife that impresses with the hardness and sharpness of its blade as well as its ergonomic handling. But a special feature reveals itself only at second glance. In the handle, there is a small secret compartment measuring 66x15x14 mm, where you can store a banknote or other small accessories for emergencies. To access it, you simply unscrew the handle scale with a 1-cent coin. The WOC II Plus is delivered in an environmentally friendly Wanger box with a Kydex sheath, which already has the belt adapter mounted, and with a cleaning cloth.
The Blade
The 118 cm long drop point blade with reinforced tip is made in full tang construction from 9Cr18MoV steel and has a hardness of 58-60 HRC. The edges of the 5 mm thick blade spine are excellent for striking sparks with a fire starter, and it can also be used as a breaker.
The Handle
The ergonomic handle is 112 mm long and, as mentioned, contains a secret compartment. The scales are made of black Micarta hard fabric and feel pleasantly tactile in the hand due to their grippy surface structure. At the end of the handle, there is a loop for a lanyard.

Aber ein besonderes Feature offenbart das Messer erst auf den zweiten Blick. In dem Griff befindet sich nämlich ein kleines Geheimfach mit den Maßen 66x15x14 mm, in dem man einen Geldschein oder sonstige Klein-Accessoires für den Notfall verstauen kann. Um an das heranzukommen, schraubt man mit einem 1-Cent-Stück einfach die Griffschale ab. Das WOC II Plus wird im umweltfreundlichen Wanger-Karton mit einer Kydex-Scheide, bei der der Gürteladapter bereits montiert ist, und mit einem Reinigungstuch geliefert.
Die Klinge
Die 118 cm lange Drop Point-Klinge mit verstärkter Spitze ist in Full Tang-Bauweise aus 9Cr18MoV-Stahl gefertigt und hat eine Härte von 58-60 HRC. Die Kanten des 5 mm dicken Klingenrückens eignen sich hervorragend, um mit einem Feuerstarter Funken zu schlagen, außerdem kann er als Brecher eingesetzt werden.
Der Griff
Der ergonomische Griff ist 112 mm lang und birgt, wie gesagt, ein Geheimfach. Die Schalen sind aus schwarzem Micarta-Hartgewebe gefertigt und liegen mit ihrer griffigen Oberflächenstruktur haptisch angenehm in der Hand. Am Ende des Griffs befindet sich eine Öse für einen Fangriemen.
