Typische Vertreter dieser Bauart sind Modelle wie die Baikal IJ-18 oder MP-18, die sich durch eine robuste, technisch einfache und wartungsfreundliche Konstruktion auszeichnen. Als Einzellader nimmt die Flinte jeweils eine Patrone im Kaliber 12/70 auf und ermöglicht nach dem Öffnen des Systems das Entnehmen der verschossenen Hülse sowie das erneute Laden.
