The HSL straight-pull repeater (Hunting Short Light) from Steel Action is approximately 500 g lighter than the HS models, achieved among other things by reducing the system by 2 mm. This version stands out due to its ergonomics and the individual customization options of the one-piece walnut stock.
The Stock
The thumbhole and pistol grip of the one-piece walnut stock are ergonomically designed for optimal comfort, allowing the shooting hand to rest relaxed and in the correct position on the grip surface with laser-etched checkering. The pistol grip is designed for ambidextrous use. The cheek piece of the buttstock is height-adjustable for individual customization and is finished with an Old English rubber cap. The stock is refined with an oil finish and features 8 mm wide US sling swivel bases.
The System
The components of the system are made from heat-treated steel. Their nitrocarburizing effectively protects the surfaces from corrosion. The trigger weight is adjustable between 500 and 2,500 g. The Picatinny rail provides a solid mounting base. The HSL rifle has a two-row steel magazine that can be changed with one hand. Its capacity is 5 cartridges. Loading is also possible through the bolt. The bolt can be removed without tools for cleaning.
The Barrel
The length of the barrel of the Hunting Short Light version is optionally 45 or 51 cm. It is securely and precisely screwed in, has no sights, and is equipped with an M15x1 muzzle thread.

Diese Ausführung sticht darüber hinaus durch die Ergonomie und die individuelle Anpassungsmöglichkeit des einteiligen Nussbaumschafts hervor.
Der Schaft
Daumenloch und Pistolengriff des einteiligen Lochschafts aus Nussbaum sind ergonomisch optimal gestaltet, die Schusshand liegt entspannt und in der richtigen Stellung zum Abzug auf der Grifffläche mit gelaserter Fischhaut-Struktur. Der Pistolengriff ist so gestaltet, dass mit links und rechts angeschlagen werden kann. Die Backe des Hinterschafts ist zur individuellen Anpassung höhenverstellbar, er schließt mit einer Old English-Gummikappe ab. Der Schaft ist mit einem Ölfinish veredelt und hat 8 mm breite US-Riemenbügelbasen.

Die Komponenten des Systems sind aus vergütetem Stahl gefertigt. Ihre Nitrocarburierung bewahrt die Oberflächen effektiv vor Korrosion. Das Abzugsgewicht ist in dem Bereich zwischen 500 und 2.500 g verstellbar. Die Picatinny-Schiene sorgt für eine solide Montagebasis. Die HSL-Büchse hat ein zweireihiges Stahlmagazin, das einhändig wechselbar ist. Seine Kapazität beträgt 5-Patronen. Das Laden ist auch über den Verschluss möglich. Zum Reinigen kann der Verschluss ohne Werkzeug entnommen werden.
