Diameter: 9.5 cm About WILD The Wild Animal Information System of the Federal States of Germany (WILD) is a nationwide monitoring program that collects data on the occurrence, frequency (population density), and population development of wild animals. WILD is a project of the Deutscher Jagdverband e. V. (DJV) and its state hunting associations. Since 2001, it has been a permanent component of ecological environmental monitoring and stands for a transparent handling of scientifically validated data. The main goal is to document wild animal populations in order to develop strategies for the conservation and sustainable use of wild animals. In addition, the WILD project holds significant importance for the reputation of hunting and hunters in politics, science, as well as for press and public relations work.
