The GrovTec GT Hammer Extension (MPN GTHM-74) extends the external hammer with a textured, side operating surface. This significantly eases cocking – especially with low-mounted scopes, when wearing gloves, or in wet conditions when the original hammer spur is hard to reach. The extension is clamped on, features a serrated lever surface, and can be mounted on the left or right. Due to its hollow design, the weight remains low, so the hammer speed and lock time, according to the manufacturer's description, do not noticeably change. Important note on fit: For Marlin Lever Actions from the year 1983 (see fit list). Due to manufacturing tolerances, slight reworking (e.g., careful filing) may be necessary.
