In addition to the Victory Harpia, the Dialyt, and the Conquest Gavia, there is now another new spotting scope from Zeiss: the Conquest Apia 65 20-50x, which features optical top performance for use on the go in a lightweight and compact housing that allows for long, comfortable, and fatigue-free observation thanks to its angled eyepiece.
The Optics
The optical system of the Apia 65 consists of 15 precisely coordinated lens elements. The T*-coated HD optics from Zeiss with a transmission value of 87% delivers clear, contrast-rich, and detailed images, thanks to the FieldFlattener technology all the way to the edge. The aspherical lenses made of ED glass minimize chromatic aberrations (color errors). The field of view of 48-27 m at 1,000 m provides a good overview, while the magnification of up to 50 times allows for detail recognition at long distances. The 2.5x zoom factor offers viewing comfort and flexibility in magnification. The LotuTec coating causes dirt and water to bead off the outer lenses.
Ease of Use
The design of the Apia 65 is thoroughly ergonomic, with intuitive handling; zooming and focusing are easy and precise, even with gloves. The focusing wheel is positioned in front of the tripod foot, making it optimally accessible. A control lever is included for one-handed operation.
The Housing
To achieve the compact format, the lens configuration has been optimized. The Apia 65 is made of aluminum and magnesium and weighs only 1,350 g, which is evenly distributed, making hand-held observations possible. The eyepiece features a retractable eyecup, and the objective has a lens hood. The housing is robust and weatherproof (IPX8), and the textured rubber armor ensures a secure grip at all times. The tripod foot is Arca-Swiss compatible.

Die Optik

Der 2,5-fache Zoomfaktor bietet Sehkomfort und Flexibilität bei der Vergrößerung. Die LotuTec-Beschichtung lässt an den äußeren Linsen Schmutz und Wasser abperlen.
Bedienkomfort
Das Design des Apia 65 ist durch und durch ergonomisch gestaltet, die Handhabung erfolgt intuitiv, das Zoomen und Fokussieren ist leicht und präzise möglich, auch mit Handschuhen. Das Fokussierrad ist vor dem Stativfuß angebracht, was ihn optimal erreichbar macht. Zur einhändigen Bedienung wird ein Verstellhebel mitgeliefert.
Das Gehäuse
Um das kompakte Format zu erreichen, wurde die Linsenkonfiguration optimiert. Das Apia 65 ist aus Aluminium und Magnesium gefertigt bringt nur 1.350 g auf die Waage, die ausgewogen verteilt sind, was auch Beobachtungen aus der Hand möglich macht. Das Okularverfügt über eine ausziehbare Augenmuschel, das Objektiv über eine Gegenlichtblende. Das Gehäuse ist robust und wetterfest (IPX8), die griffige Gummi-Armierung garantiert einen stets festen Halt. Der Stativfuß ist Arca-Swiss kompatibel.
