Light and compact companions that deliver brilliant images during hunting and nature observation – these have long been the CL Companion binoculars from Swarovski. Now, the company based in Tyrol has extensively optimized the successful series and launched a 3rd generation. The CL Companion III 8x30 in Safari Brown is the version for those for whom the field of view is the main criterion.
The Housing
At first glance, the CL Companion III 8x30 binoculars differ from its predecessor model by the elegantly designed bridge. In black, it completely encompasses the two tubes in Safari Brown and forms a unit with the also black-edged rotating eyecups. The eyecups have been enlarged, resulting in a clear line in the design without steps in the housing. The additional 60 g that the new version weighs is hardly noticeable. Even at 550 g, the binoculars are still lightweight in the compact dimensions of 129x113x56 mm. They fit ergonomically in the hands, and operation is intuitive with the comfortable focusing wheel. The binoculars are pressure waterproof up to a depth of 4 m and filled with gas to prevent internal fogging. They are delivered in a bag in Swarovski green.
The Optics
The CL Companion III 8x30 binoculars have a large field of view of 140 m at 1,000 m, a full 8 m more than its predecessor. This ensures a consistently good overview in the area, and during ornithological observation, one does not easily lose sight of the circling birds. The optical system is coated with the proven SwaroVision technology and delivers color-accurate, razor-sharp, as well as contrast-rich and detail-rich images up to the edge. The 30-mm objective provides a transmission value of 90% and a twilight number of 15.5.
Scope of Delivery

Jetzt hat das in Tirol sitzende Unternehmen die erfolgreiche Reihe umfassend optimiert und eine 3. Generation herausgebracht. Dabei ist das CL Companion III 8x30 in Safari Brown die Ausführung für alle, bei denen das Sehfeld das Hauptkriterium ist.
Das Gehäuse
Das CL Companion III 8x30-Fernglas unterscheidet sich auf den ersten Blick von seinem Vorgänger-Modell durch die eleganter gestaltete Brücke. In Schwarz umfasst sie komplett die beiden Tuben in Safari Brown und bildet mit den ebenfalls schwarz abgesetzten Drehaugenmuscheln eine Einheit. Die Augenmuscheln wurden vergrößert, so dass sich im Design eine klare Linie ohne Absätze im Gehäuse ergibt. Die 60 g, die die neue Version mehr auf die Waage bringt, fallen dabei kaum ins Gewicht. Auch mit 550 g ist das Fernglas noch ein Leichtgewicht in den kompakten Maßen von 129x113x56 mm. Es liegt ergonomisch optimal in den Händen, die Bedienung erfolgt intuitiv mit dem komfortablen Fokussierrad. Das Fernglas ist druckwasserdicht bis zu einer Tiefe von 4 m und gegen inneres Beschlagen mit Gas gefüllt. Geliefert wird es in einer Tasche in Swarovski-Grün.

Dies gewährleistet einen stets guten Überblick im Revier, bei der ornithologischen Beobachtung verliert man die kreisenden Vögel nicht so leicht aus dem Blickfeld. Das optische System ist mit der bewährten SwaroVision-Technologie vergütet und liefert farbechte, gestochen scharfe sowie kontrast- und detailreiche Bilder bis in den Randbereich. Das 30-mm-Objektiv bringt einen Transmissionswert von 90 % und eine Dämmerungszahl von 15,5.
