Since we process natural products, optical deviations between the knife image and the originals are possible. Buffalo horn is a unique material that is predominantly dark brown in color but can also exhibit white and gray structures, with mineralization being crucial for the coloration. The grain also varies between animals and can reveal new structures through the processing of deeper layers. It can be worked similarly to wood – by carving, sawing, sanding, and polishing.

Büffelhorn ist ein einzigartiges Material, das von seiner Farbgebung vornehmlich dunkelbraun ist, aber auch weiße und graue Strukturen aufweisen kann, wobei die Mineralisierung entscheidend für die Färbung ist. Die Maserung unterscheidet sich ebenfalls zwischen den Tieren und kann durch die Bearbeitung tieferer Schichten neue Strukturen offenbaren. Es lässt sich ähnlich wie Holz bearbeiten – durch Schnitzen, Sägen, Schleifen und Polieren.
