The model "skinner" is a special knife in classic form, which was developed in the second half of the last century and has not lost any of its popularity - by PUMA Solingen. The tip of the typical skinning blade for skinning is located slightly above the spine of the blade in this Solingen classic. This makes the cutting edge very curved in the front part and thus extends. This has the advantage that significantly longer cuts can be made and the repeated positioning of the knife is reduced. Since the blade tip is located very high up, the risk of accidentally stabbing into the precious fur is also significantly minimized. On the continuous flat tang sit warp-free Pakkawood scales as well as a reliable finger guard made of aluminum. Since we process natural products, color and structure deviations are possible - each knife is unique.

Das Modell „skinner“ ist ein Spezialmesser in klassischer Form, das bereits in der zweiten Hälfte des letzten Jahrhunderts entwickelt wurde und nichts von seiner Beliebtheit verloren hat – von PUMA Solingen. Die Spitze der für das Abhäuten typischen Skinnerklinge liegt bei diesem Solinger Klassiker etwas oberhalb der Klingenrückens. Die Schneide wird dadurch im vorderen Teil sehr bauchig und verlängert sich somit. Dies hat den Vorteil, daß wesentlich längere Schnitte vorgenommen werden können und das wiederholte Ansetzen des Messers reduziert wird. Da die Klingenspitze sehr weit oben liegt, wird zudem die Gefahr eines versehentlichen Einstechens in das kostbare Fell deutlich minimiert. Auf dem durchgehenden Flacherl sitzen verzugsfreie Pakkaholzschalen sowie ein zuverlässiger Fingerschutz aus Aluminium. Da wir Naturprodukte verarbeiten, sind Farb- und Strukturabweichungen möglich - jedes Messer ist ein Unikat.
