Böker Daily Knives AK4 – powerful, cleanly guided, and built for tough tasks
The Böker Daily Knives AK4 continues the line of the AK1 and takes it into a significantly more robust format. The fixed drop point blade made of CPM-3V demonstrates why this powder metallurgy steel is so valued among hunters and bushcrafters. It retains its sharpness exceptionally long, achieves a hardness of 61±1 HRC, and remains unbreakable even under high stress.
The blade measures 9.8 cm and features a high grind. This results in little material behind the edge, which, in combination with the drop point tip, allows for controlled, smooth penetration into the cutting material. In hunting practice, the AK4 is suitable for both field dressing and precise tasks such as skinning.
The screwed Micarta handle scales feel grippy and warm in the hand. The slightly contoured shape ensures that the knife is securely handled even in wet conditions. At the end of the handle, there is a discreet lanyard hole. The AK4 is delivered with a custom-fit Kydex sheath that holds the knife securely and can be easily attached to a belt or backpack.

Böker Daily Knives AK4 – kraftvoll, sauber geführt und für harte Einsätze gebaut
Das Böker Daily Knives AK4 knüpft an die Linie des AK1 an und führt sie in ein deutlich robusteres Format. Die feststehende Droppoint-Klinge aus CPM-3V zeigt, warum dieser pulvermetallurgische Stahl unter Jägern und Bushcraftern so geschätzt wird. Er hält die Schärfe außergewöhnlich lange, erreicht eine Härte von 61±1 HRC und bleibt selbst unter hoher Belastung bruchsicher.
Die Klinge misst 9,8 cm und besitzt einen hoch angesetzten Schliff. Dadurch liegt wenig Material hinter der Schneide, was in Kombination mit der Droppoint-Spitze ein kontrolliertes, leichtgängiges Eindringen ins Schnittgut ermöglicht. In der Jagdpraxis eignet sich das AK4 damit sowohl fürs Aufbrechen als auch für präzise Arbeiten wie das Skinning.
Die verschraubten Micarta-Griffschalen liegen griffig und warm in der Hand. Die leicht konturierte Form sorgt dafür, dass das Messer auch bei Nässe sicher geführt wird. Am Griffende sitzt eine unauffällige Fangriemenöse. Geliefert wird das AK4 mit einer passgenauen Kydexscheide, die das Messer fest hält und sich problemlos am Gürtel oder Rucksack befestigen lässt.
