Function: The self-shooting device is set with the muzzle in the exposed mouse tunnel. After a short time, the vole will close the tunnel, as it does not like light or fresh air. On this occasion, the mouse can calmly push soil in front of the self-shooting device, which often leads to failure with normal traps. However, this does not matter in this case. Selbstschuss wird mit der Mündung in den freigelegten Mäusegang
gestellt. Bereits nach kurzer Zeit wird die Wühlmaus den Gang
schließen, da sie weder Licht noch Frischluft mag. Bei dieser
Gelegenheit kann die Maus ruhig Erde vor den Selbstschuss schieben,
was bei normalen Fallen zum häufigen Misserfolg führt. Bei diesem
spielt dies jedoch keine Rolle. Der hohe Gasdruck der Spezialpatrone
tötet die Wühlmaus auch durch 5 cm vorgeschobene Erde sicher.
