The optimized R8 Professional 2.0 with its ergonomic synthetic stock is a rifle designed for use in the harshest hunting conditions. The optimizations made by Blaser compared to the predecessor model have not affected the compatibility of the components with those of the first generation. The Stock
The one-piece stock – in Dark Olive or Black-Brown – is equipped with elastomer inserts on the grip areas, which have a new, improved structure that feels pleasant in the hands, even in wet and cold conditions. The inserts are no longer glued as before and thus prone to wear, but are now an integral part of the stock. The pistol grip is steeper than in the predecessor model, featuring an ambidextrous palmswell, making the rifle suitable for both right- and left-handed shooters. The stock back can be adjusted by up to 30 mm at the push of a button, and the length of the buttstock can be varied with optionally available modules. The stock cap noticeably reduces recoil.
The System
The system housing is firmly connected to the stock in the R8 Professional 2.0. This further increases precision. The manual cocking system guarantees the safety familiar from the R8 by relaxing the firing pin spring. The tension occurs only immediately before the shot by pushing the cocking slider forward. The straight-pull repeater is quickly reloadable. The trigger unit is made of polymer, and the direct trigger has a pull weight of 750 g. The bolt and chamber are designed, depending on your choice, for the caliber groups mini, standard, or magnum.
The Barrel
The Blaser R8 barrel is cold forged, like the chamber, making it perfectly concentric. The barrel is available in lengths of 42 cm, 47 cm, 52 cm, and 58 cm, depending on caliber and your choice, has an M15x1 muzzle thread, and is without sights. The barrel surface is coated with DLC A+ and is characterized by high precision and durability.
Mounting and Optics
The scope is mounted on the rifle using an original Blaser saddle mount. You can choose from the following models:
- Blaser B2 2-12x50 iC S, with rail, Illumination Control, reticle 4A illuminated: The optics are ideal for driven hunts, stalking, and night hunting with a night vision device.
- Blaser B2 2.5-15x56 iC S, with rail, Illumination Control, reticle 4A illuminated: With a total length up to four centimeters shorter than comparable scopes, this optic is extremely compact.
- Zeiss Conquest V6 2-12x50 M, with rail, reticle 60 illuminated: Zeiss presents a target optic in the mid-range segment that stands out with its performance in the premium range.
- Zeiss Conquest V6 2.5-15x56 M, with rail, reticle 60 illuminated: The light transmission of 92% speaks for itself; with the 56 mm objective, it is suitable for hunting until nightfall.
- Zeiss Victory HT 3-12x56 M, with rail and reticle 60 illuminated: The optics impress with an outstanding light transmission of 95% and the 56 mm objective as an expert for sitting from dawn until night.
- Victory V8 1.8-14x50 M, with rail: The scope is available with reticle 54 and reticle 60, both illuminated; the 60 is ideal for precise shooting with minimal coverage of the game body, while the 54 is a driven hunt reticle.

Der SchaftDer einteilige Schaft – in Dark Olive oder Schwarzbraun – ist an den Griffflächen mit Elastomer-Einlagen versehen, die mit der neuen, verbesserten Struktur haptisch angenehm in den Händen liegen, auch bei Nässe und Kälte. Die Einlagen sind nicht mehr wie früher aufgeklebt und somit anfällig für Verschleiß, sondern fester Bestandteil des Schafts. Der Pistolengriff ist steiler als beim Vorgängermodell, er hat beidseitig einen Palmswell, so dass die Büchse für Rechts- und Linksschützinnen und -schützen geeignet ist. Der Schaftrücken ist per Knopfdruck um bis zu 30 mm verstellbar, die Länge des Hinterschafts kann mit optional erhältlichen Modulen variiert werden. Die Schaftkappe mindert den Rückstoß spürbar.
Das SystemDas Systemgehäuse ist bei der R8 Professional 2.0 fest mit dem Schaft verbunden. Damit wird die Präzision nochmals gesteigert. Das Handspannsystem garantiert die von der R8 gewohnte Sicherheit mittels Entspannung der Schlagfeder. Die Spannung erfolgt erst unmittelbar vor dem Schuss durch das Vorschieben des Spannschiebers. Der Geradezug-Repetierer ist schnell nachladbar. Die Abzugseinheit ist aus Polymer gefertigt, der trockenstehende Direktabzug hat ein Abzugsgewicht von 750 g. Verschluss und Kammer sind, je nach Ihrer Wahl, für die Kalibergruppen Mini, Standard oder Magnum ausgelegt.
Der LaufDer Blaser R8-Lauf wird, wie das Patronenlager, kalt geschmiedet und ist damit perfekt konzentrisch. Den Lauf gibt es je nach Kaliber und Ihrer Wahl in den Längen von 42 cm, 47 cm, 52 cm und 58 cm, er hat ein M15x1-Mündungsgewinde und ist ohne Visierung. Die Laufoberfläche ist DLC A+-beschichtet und zeichnet sich durch eine hohe Präzision und Langlebigkeit aus.
Montage und OptikDas Zielfernrohr wird mittels einer original Blaser Sattelmontage auf dem Gewehr befestigt. Sie haben die Wahl zwischen folgenden Modellen:- Blaser B2 2-12x50 iC S, mit Schiene, Illumination Control, Absehen 4A bel.: Die Optik ist ideal für die Drückjagd, Pirsch und Nachtjagd mit Vorsatzgerät.
