The Carcano M1981/38 is an Italian modification of the original Carcano Mod. 1891, which served as the standard rifle of the Italian army since the end of the 19th century. The Model 1891/38 was introduced in 1938 to replace the old long infantry rifles with shorter and more manageable variants. The M1891/38 was used as the standard rifle by the Italian army during World War II. The Carcano system was simple but reliable. After the war, many rifles remained in use or were sold, including to Finland and Africa. Collectors appreciate well-preserved models. This Carcano was imported by Frankonia and has received proof in London (United Kingdom).

Der Carcano M1981/38 ist eine italienische Modifikation des ursprünglichen Carcano Mod. 1891, das seit Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts als Standardgewehr der italienischen Armee diente. Das Modell 1891/38 wurde ab 1938 eingeführt, um die alten langen Infanteriegewehre durch kürzere und handlichere Varianten zu ersetzen. Der M1891/38 wurde während des Zweiten Weltkriegs als Standardgewehr von der italienischen Armee genutzt. Das Carcano-System war einfach, aber zuverlässig. Nach dem Krieg blieben viele Gewehre im Einsatz oder wurde verkauft, unter anderem an Finnland und Afrika. Sammler schätzen gut erhaltene Modelle. Diese Carcano wurde von der Frankonia importiert und hat einen Beschuß in London (Großbritannien) erhalten.
