The X-Universal 10x42 is one of the two models in the series with 10x magnification, appealing primarily to hunters who use it for hunting in open areas.
The Optics The X-Universal 10x42 achieves its excellent imaging performance through high-quality ED lenses that effectively compensate for chromatic aberration and deliver sharp, detailed images without color fringes all the way to the edge of the field of view. The close focus range is only 1.5 m, with a field of view of 115 m at 1,000 m.
The Housing A robust magnesium housing securely encases the sensitive optics while being very lightweight, which is an important criterion for a hunting binocular that one carries in the field. Minox has always favored a minimalist design, as seen in the X-Universal 10x42: two straight tubes connected by a narrow bridge with the focusing wheel.
