Der Pugio war der Dolchtyp der römischen Legionäre, verbreitet ab dem frühen Imperium (ca. 1.–3. Jahrhundert n. Chr.). Hauptsächlich als Begleithandwaffe gedacht, zusätzlich als Utility-Werkzeug, nicht primär als Hauptwaffe wie der Gladius.
