The O-ring allows for moderate tightening of the silencer without the silencer loosening from the thread. The vibration-damping effect of the O-ring seals, among other things, the transition from the stop of the barrel to the base of the silencer, thus providing sufficient buffer.

Der O-Ring ermöglicht ein moderates Festdrehen des Schalldämpfer, ohne das der Schalldämpfer sich aus dem Gewinde löst. Die Schwingungsdämpfende Wirkung des O-Rings dichtet u.a. den Übergang vom Anschlag des Laufes und dem Ansatz des Schalldämpferbodens und bietet somit ausreichend Puffer.
