The Glock 19 also enters the next generation and impresses with many innovations. The finger grooves on the grip have been replaced with a pleasantly structured continuous grip surface, making it comfortable for every user to handle. Furthermore, the Glock is left-handed friendly. For example, the slide stop lever can be operated from both sides. The sights impress with a larger gap between the rear sight and front sight, and the new barrel, now called GLOCK's Marksman Barrel, is supposed to provide more precision. Visually, the Glock 19 comes with a deep black finish, which according to the manufacturer, is even more resistant to corrosion and scratches.

So ist z.B. der Verschlussfanghebel von beiden Seiten bedienbar. Die Visierung überzeugt mit einem größeren Lichtspalt zwischen Kimme und Korn und der neue Lauf, wird nun GLOCKs Marksman Barrel genannt, soll für mehr Präzision sorgen.Optisch kommt die Glock 19 mit einem tiefschwarzen Finish, welches lt. Herstellerangabe, noch resistenter gegen Korrosion und Kratzer ist.
