The 6mm Creedmoor is the little sister of the very popular 6.5 Creedmoor. It has similar ballistic properties to the .243 Winchester caliber, but the shorter length allows for loading long, heavy bullets in the magazine. This caliber is an excellent choice for hunting, but has also gained popularity as a competition cartridge. Some of the new competitions, such as the Precision Rifle Series, require a large number of shots, and this cartridge is also gentle on the shoulder compared to the 6.5 Creedmoor. There are several companies that manufacture bolt-action rifles and AR-10 rifles for this caliber.
