Each Weaver base is machined for a custom fit with the tightest tolerances. They are designed to counteract the effects of recoil with a square notch that precisely fits the stable cross pin in each removable Weaver ring. Fits:

Colt Sharps (Front & Rear)
Parker-Hale 2600 (Front)
Ruger #1 and #3 (Rear)
Sako Models 72, 75, & 78 (Front and Rear)

For the Browning 52, 52C, and A-Bolt (European Style) the front base screws must be shortened by grinding
For the Ruger #1 and #3 the gun will need to be drilled and tapped. Shimming is probably required for perfect scope alignment.
