Basically, it is a .40 S&W case that has been narrowed to a .355" diameter of the bullet. Most pistols designed for .40 S&W can be converted to .357 Sig. Complete firearms are also available from Sig Sauer. However, it is not possible to form .357 Sig from .40 S&W cases. (Show description in original language)

Grundsätzlich handelt es sich um eine .40 S&W-Hülse, die auf einen .355" Durchmesser des Geschosses verengt wurde. Die meisten Pistolen, die für die .40 S&W ausgelegt sind, können auf .357 Sig umgerüstet werden. Komplette Waffen sind auch von Sig-Sauer erhältlich. Es ist jedoch nicht möglich, .357 Sig aus .40 S&W-Hülsen zu formen.
