The new model series IMPULSE is THE technical innovation from Savage Arms in 2021. The safety aspect of this product line, for which 13 patented innovations (own patents) have been registered, is significant! The bolt is the heart of this technology with the HEXLOCK system. The 6 steel balls of the bolt lock into the steel sleeve on the barrel and are additionally pressed into the lock during pressure increase, making the system self-locking. Furthermore, the firing pin remains mechanically secured until the bolt is fully locked. Due to the internal mechanics, a quiet reloading is possible (the bolt does not need to be closed with force), as well as tool-free disassembly for cleaning the bolt. In addition to these model-specific product features, this series has the proven Savage features: precision-enhancing, three-dimensional AccuStock aluminum bedding along the full length, length and height adjustable AccuFit synthetic stock (adjustment is possible without inletting!), AccuTrigger; absolutely crisp, adjustable, drop and impact safe trigger system (adjustable from the outside on the IMPULSE series. No disassembly of the trigger necessary!), Barrel Nut System; button-rifled barrel with minimally adjusted bolt gap. Furthermore: Muzzle thread 5/8“x24, Cerakote® coating (only model Big Game). Technical details: button-rifled, blued medium barrel made of carbon steel with minimally adjusted bolt gap (Barrel Nut System), muzzle thread 5/8“x24, adjustable AccuTrigger trigger (approx. 1100 g - 2700 g), drop and impact safe (adjustment is possible without removal!), olive green AccuFit synthetic stock, length and height adjustable, AccuStock with three-dimensional aluminum bedding along the full length, integrated Picatinny rail with 20 MOA inclination, maximum flexibility, more adjustment range at long distances, no disadvantages at short distances, cost and weight savings, housing made of 7075 aluminum, locking occurs in a steel sleeve, ambidextrous 2-position sliding safety, adjustable chamber rod for right and left-handed shooters, removable steel magazine.
