The P320 was developed in close collaboration with police, federal police, and customs. This resulted in a reliable and precise handgun, without an external hammer, but with a striker-fire system. The latter impresses with a dry, precise trigger characteristic. The low bore axis and a takedown lever that serves as a thumb rest achieve maximum controllability during rapid fire sequences. Additional front serrations on the slide and ambidextrous controls also ensure optimal operability. Thanks to unique modularity, three system sizes (Subcompact, Compact, and Full-Size) can be represented with just one pre-entry through interchangeable systems and grip modules. Die P320 wurde in enger Zusammenarbeit mit Polizei, Bundespolizei sowie dem Zoll entwickelt.Entstanden ist dadurch eine zuverlässige und präzise Kurzwaffe, ohne außen liegenden Hammer, jedoch mit einem Striker-Fire-System. Letzteres überzeugt mit einer trockenen, präzisen Abzugscharakteristik. Die tiefliegende Laufachse und ein Zerlegehebel, der als Daumenauflage dient, erzielen eine größtmögliche Kontrollierbarkeit bei schnellen Schussfolgen.
