The Walter Model 4 is a German semi-automatic pistol that was manufactured by Carl Walther GmbH between 1910 and 1925. It was a further development of the previous models and was mainly used by police and military. During its production period, several variants of the Model 4 were produced, which mainly differed in optical details, such as the number of grip grooves on the slide or the labeling. The weapon was available with both blued and nickel-plated metal surfaces and had grips made of hard rubber. This pistol was produced under license by Gebrüder Merkel, Suhl and received its proof in Suhl, GDR.

Die Walter Modell 4 ist eine deutsche Selbstladepistole, die von der Carl Walther GmbH zwischen 1910 und 1925 hergestellt wurde. Sie war eine Weiterentwicklung der vorherigen Modelle und wurde vor allem von Polizei und Militär genutzt. Während ihrer Produktionszeit wurden mehrere Varianten des Modells 4 hergestellt, die sich Hauptsächlich in optischen Details unterschieden, wie der Anzahl der Griffrillen am Schlitten oder der Beschriftung. Die Waffe war sowohl mit brünierter als auch mit vernickelter Metalloberfläche erhältlich und besaß Griffschafen aus Hartgummi. Diese istole wurde in Lizenz von Gebrüder Merkel, Suhl produziert und hat ihren Beschuss in Suhl, DDR, erhalten.
