Self-loading pistol SIG P220, cal. 9mm Para (9x19). The SIG P220 pistol was developed in the 1960s and early 1970s and was introduced as a service pistol by the Swiss Army in 1975; it is a perfect example of the high manufacturing standards of the SIG company. The pistol was delivered shortly after its market introduction to both sport shooters and the Swiss Army. This is particularly evident in the manufacturing quality and precision of the weapon. Therefore, it is still sought after and popular today as a match weapon among sport shooters and collectors.
The advantages of the pistol are very well summarized by a quote from Renaud De La Taille, who is considered an authority in the field of handguns: "The SIG is manufactured in the finest tradition of Swiss watchmaking. In three respects, in the quality of the steels, in the precise fitting, and in the manufacturing tolerances, it is by far the best of the pistols available on the market today. No lightweight metal alloys, no stamped sheet metal parts or castings: made from solid forged steel with the strictest dimensional accuracy: all parts are strictly interchangeable!"
The weapon is in good overall condition, with only some areas of the surface finish worn. It is marked with a valid German proof mark and is delivered with a spare magazine.

Selbstladepistole SIG P220 , Kal.9mm Para (9x19). Die Pistole SIG P220 wurde in den 1960er- und Anfang der 1970er-Jahre und wurde von der schweizer Armee ab 1975 als Dienstpistole eingeführt, sie ist ein perfektes Beispiel für das hohe Fertigungsniveau der Firma SIG. Die Pistole wurde kurz nach ihrer Markteinführung sowohl an Sportschützen als auch an die schweizer Armee ausgeliefert. Dies zeigt sich vor allem bei der Fertigungsqualität und der Präzision der Waffe. Daher ist sie auch noch heute als Matchwaffe bei Sportschützen und Sammlern gesucht und beliebt.
Die Vorzüge der Pistole werden sehr gut durch ein Zitat von Renaud De La Taille, der als Koryphäe im Bereich der Faustfeuerwaffen gilt, zusammengefasst: "Die SIG ist in feinster Tradition der schweizerischen Uhrmacherei hergestellt. Die Waffe ist in einem guten Gesamtzustand, lediglich die Oberflächenveredlung ist an manchen Stellen abgerieben. Sie ist mit einem gültigen deutschen Beschussstempel versehen und wird mit einem Ersatzmagazin ausgeliefert.
