The Böker Plus Shovel M1874 black impresses with numerous applications and is therefore ideal for bushcrafters and off-road drivers. It is also interesting for collectors of military equipment, as the historical model of this shovel was used in both World Wars, among others. In addition to the obvious use for digging, you can also use this extremely robust shovel for splitting firewood, as a climbing aid on steep slopes, or as an emergency paddle. The two-part construction of blade and spring is connected by five strong rivets, additionally secured with a 40 mm wide steel collar, and encompasses the break-resistant ash wood handle up to half its length. This results in very good stability, and the shovel has high break and shock load resistance. Furthermore, it can also be easily sharpened under field conditions. A simple sharpening method is, for example, to lay both edges flat with the inside of the blade on a concrete block. Die Böker Plus Schaufel Shovel M1874 schwarz überzeugt mit zahlreichen Anwendungsmöglichkeiten und ist somit ideal für Bushcrafter und Offroad-Driver. Auch für Sammler militärischer Ausrüstung ist die M1874 interessant, da das historische Vorbild dieses Modells unter anderem in beiden Weltkriegen im Einsatz war. Neben der offensichtlichen Nutzung des Grabens kannst Du diese äußerst robuste Schaufel beispielsweise auch zum Spalten von Feuerholz, als Steighilfe an steilen Böschungen oder als Notpaddel verwenden. Die zweiteilige Konstruktion aus Blatt und Feder ist mit fünf starken Nieten verbunden, zusätzlich mit einer 40 mm breiten Stahlzwinge gesichert und umfasst den bruchfesten Eschenholzstiel bis zur Hälfte seiner Länge. Auf diese Weise entsteht eine sehr gute Stabilität und die Schaufel weist eine hohe Bruch- und Schocklastbeständigkeit auf. Zudem ist auch unter Feldbedingungen leicht nachzuschärfen. Eine einfache Schärfmethode stellt beispielsweise das flache Auflegen beider Kanten mit der Innenseite des Blattes auf einen Betonblock dar.
