Over 30 years ago, Barnes, now one of the most renowned bullet manufacturers in the world, launched a "lead-free" hunting bullet made of copper. The aim of this development was to create a bullet with consistently good deformation properties while also improving ballistic performance.
Building on this experience, Blaser has now developed a completely new copper bullet. The Blaser CDC bullet (Controlled Deformation Copper) optimally combines the desired properties, such as best precision and reliable killing effect. The CDC bullet is specifically tuned for lighter to medium game, thus meeting the exact needs of hunters in Central Europe. To ensure the highest possible quality, the bullets are manufactured by Barnes and loaded at Norma.
The mass of the Blaser CDC bullet has been only slightly reduced compared to other "lead-free" bullets. This ensures the excellent deformation properties of the CDC bullet over a very wide range of distances and velocities. Due to the higher bullet weights, CDC bullets achieve a maximum length, which ensures high directional stability even in the game body.
The front part of the CDC bullet responds very quickly upon impact thanks to its special construction with expansion cavity and concealed hollow point. Four uniform petals form on the bullet in the game body without the occurrence of meat-damaging fragment formation.

Bereits vor über 30 Jahren brachte Barnes, heute einer der renommiertesten Geschosshersteller der Welt, ein "bleifreies" Jagdgeschoss aus Kupfer auf den Markt. Ziel dieser Entwicklung war es, ein Geschoss mit konstant guten Deformationseigenschaften und zugleich verbesserten ballistischen Werten zu schaffen.
Ausgehend von diesen Erfahrungen hat Blaser nun ein völlig neues Kupfergeschoss entwickelt. Das Blaser CDC Geschoss (Controlled Deformation Copper) verbindet die gewünschten Eigenschaften, wie beste Präzision und zuverlässige Tötungswirkung, in optimaler Weise. Das CDC Geschoss ist speziell auf leichteres bis mittelschweres Wild abgestimmt und erfüllt damit genau die Bedürfnisse der Jäger in Mitteleuropa. Um höchstmögliche Qualität sicherzustellen, werden die Geschosse von Barnes gefertigt und bei Norma verladen.
Ganz bewusst wurde beim Blaser CDC Geschoss die Masse im Vergleich zu anderen "bleifreien" Geschossen nur sehr geringfügig reduziert. Damit werden die hervorragenden Deformationseigenschaften des CDC Geschosses über einen sehr breiten Entfernungs- bzw. Geschwindigkeitsbereich gewährleistet. Bedingt durch die höher gehaltenen Geschossgewichte erreichen CDC Geschosse eine maximale Länge, was für hohe Richtungsstabilität auch im Wildkörper sorgt.
Der vordere Teil des CDC Geschosses spricht nach dem Auftreffen dank seiner speziellen Konstruktion mit Expansionskaverne und verdeckter Hohlspitze sehr schnell an. Am Geschoss bilden sich im Wildkörper vier gleichmäßige Fahnen, ohne dass wildpretmindernde Splitterbildung auftritt.
