The Springfield 1911 Mil-Spec is a full metal pistol, meaning that both the slide and the frame are made of metal. Only the grip panels of the Co2 pistol are made of plastic with a wood-like appearance. Texturing on the grip panels and the back of the grip ensures that the 1911 pistol sits securely in the shooter's hand.
Not only is the weight and feel authentic, but so are the controls. They are designed just like those on the 1911 Colt. The air pistol offers the classic beavertail safety for the Colt 1911 and a slide catch lever. The safety lever is located on the left side of the frame and can be set to two positions: "Safe" (secured) and "Fire" (ready to fire).

Nicht nur das Gewicht und die Haptik sind authentisch, sondern auch die Bedienelemente. So sind diese genau so wie beim 1911 Colt gehalten. Die Druckluftpistole bietet dir die für den Colt 1911 klassische Handballensicherung und einen Schlittenfanghebel. Der Sicherungshebel ist an der linken Seite des Rahmens und kann in zwei Positionen gebracht werden: "Safe" (gesichert) und "Fire" (Feuerbereit).
Im Inneren der Druckluftwaffe ist ein starkes Co2 System verbaut. Der Antrieb erfolgt über eine 12g Co2 Patrone, die einfach in das Magazin eingesetzt und mit dem mitgelieferten Innensechskantschlüssel angezogen wird. Wie bei Co2 Waffen üblich, bietet dir auch die Springfield 1911 MilSpec einen BlowBack Effekt, sodass der Schlitten wie bei der echten Waffe automatisch bei jedem Schuss nach hinten und wieder nach vorn repetiert. Das Magazin der Luftpistole fasst 18 Schuss BB Kugeln.
Damit du präzise Schießen kannst ist eine 3 Punkt Visierung aus Kimme und Korn aufgesetzt. Kimme und Korn einstellen ist bei dieser Luftdruck Waffe allerdings nicht möglich. Der Abzug ist ein Single Action Abzug.
