With the "American Rifle," Ruger surprised the entire rifle market in 2012. This firearm model has since gained many followers, not least because of its very affordable price despite high quality. For this model, Ruger developed a new three-lug bolt that can be manufactured at favorable conditions. The system with the barrel is bedded in a plastic stock, which has two V-shaped bedding blocks. The shooting performance is flawless. The handling is straightforward. The easily accessible safety is located on the wrist of the stock. The magazine is very flat but still holds 4/5 cartridges. The weapon is versatile, especially for driven hunts, and requires little maintenance. A Weaver mount for attaching an optic is included in the delivery.

Mit der "American Rifle" überraschte die Firma Ruger den gesamten Büchsenmarkt in 2012. Dieses Waffenmodell hat inzwischen viele Anhänger gefunden, nicht zuletzt auch wegen des sehr günstigen Preises trotz hoher Qualität. Für dieses Modell hat Ruger einen neuen Dreiwarzenverschluss entwickelt, der zu günstigen Konditionen gefertigt werden kann. System mit Lauf sind in einem Kunststoffschaft gebettet, welcher zwei V-förmige Bettungsblöcke hat. Die Schussleistung ist tadellos. Die Handhabung unkompliziert. Die gut zugängliche Sicherung befindet sich auf dem Kolbenhals. Das Trommelmagazin ist sehr flach, fasst aber trotzdem 4/5 Patronen. Die Waffe ist vielseitig einsetzbar, insbesondere auch für die Drückjagd, und braucht wenig Pflege. Eine Weaver-Montage zum Montieren einer Optik gehört zum Lieferumfang.
